Hello, I'm Carl Steinbrenner.
With over 30 years of corporate and business legal experience, I have represented business owners and executives in almost every industry and ranging in size from local start-up companies to international Fortune 100 corporations. I am admitted to practice law in New York, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and in federal district court and federal bankruptcy court. I am routinely involved with and manage international business transactions in countries throughout the world.
Prior to founding Steinbrenner Law Offices in 2001...
I was an attorney with one of the largest Western New York law firms focusing on business and corporate matters and transactions. I was also corporate counsel in the law departments of Bausch & Lomb Incorporated and Owens-Illinois, Inc., both global corporations operating throughout the United States and the world.
My earlier experience includes business management positions as President of Seagate Alliance LLC, a regional healthcare purchasing organization and Director of Contracting at the University of Rochester.
I received my Juris Doctor legal degree from the University of Notre Dame and my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. I am also a graduate of Salzburg College in Austria and the Goethe Institut in Germany.
A little more about me.
I am appointed by the Rochester City Council to its Ethics Board and currently serve as its chair. I also serve on the Board of Lifetime Assistance Foundation, Inc. and on its Development Committee. I am one of the founders of First Wednesdays of Rochester, Inc. and serve on its Board of Directors and as Secretary. I am also active with the Notre Dame Club of Rochester, the Rochester German community and German School of Rochester, the Brighton Chamber of Commerce, and the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce.
Those who are familiar with me know I am an ardent Notre Dame football and Buffalo Sabres fan. I can often be found attending RIT hockey games each fall and winter and watching World Cup soccer every four years.
HISTORY OF OUR ROCHESTER, NY OFFICE LOCATION
Come make yourself comfortable at our architecturally trailblazing principal office location hidden away on Troup Street in the historic Corn Hill neighborhood adjoining Center City Rochester! Two 1800’s single houses originally stood at this site and faced east on South Washington Street. During Corn Hill’s urban renewal project in the 1970’s, the homes were demolished. In 1983, the present building, divided into two units (102 and 104 Troup Street), was built facing south on Troup Street. The edifice was designed by local architect, John Pagen, a resident of Corn Hill. Another Corn Hill resident, Al Rayburn, built the structure as a labor of love with the artisans who worked with him. Both components include contemporary layouts, 10 foot ceilings, expansive floor plans and magnificent windows. Steinbrenner Law Offices purchased this property in 2008 and worked with another Corn Hill resident, Anita Hansen, a local interior designer. The entire interior of the office was revamped and repainted and extensive artwork added to each level.
